BrianJames Therapy is grateful to partner with you for healing, formation, and growth - emotionally and spiritually.

At BrianJames Therapy we believe that the healing work of therapy can be an integrated process of the discipleship that takes place at the local church and can be an instrumental part of the formation journey for followers of Jesus. That is why we have chosen to partner with local churches to provide more access to counseling services with trained clinicians who also follow Jesus.

The fact that you are here reflects your desire to grow and that you have already taken the first step of accessing this resource through your church. Well done. We recognize that it is always an act of courage to reach out for support.

Now let’s get you started!

Complete the intake form below. This is the first part of the process on our end to get you connected to the appropriate therapist for you. As you do, please make note of these elements:

1. Identify the price that is feasible for you.

   As you likely already know, BrianJames Therapy is offering 10 sessions to members of the Faith Church community for $5/session (to be used in consecutive weeks). These sessions will be provided by our graduate student counseling interns under the supervision and training of BrianJames McMahon, LMFT and will be made available as there is room. You are not required to work with our counseling interns and are welcome to select a different counseling option for you. If you are able to afford the standard session fee, we would encourage you to do so. That will allow those in financial need to have access to this support.

   Note: You are not limited to the initial 10 sessions. As you approach the completion of 10 sessions, you can discuss with your counselor the shift in cost moving forward. For those in need, Faith Church is willing to subsidize up to 50% of an additional 10 sessions. As you approach the completion of the second set of 10 sessions, you will need to discuss ongoing cost with your counselor. Discounted rates may continue to be available, but cannot be guaranteed.
   

2. Tell us a little about the support you are looking for.

   This will help us identify the best counselor and level of care for you.

3. Our anticipation is that most of the counseling provided for Faith Church will be virtual.

   If you would prefer in-person counseling and are willing to drive to our office in Lees Summit, please include that information when you submit your form.

4. Because we believe counseling can be a part of discipleship and the formation process for followers of Jesus, you have the option to request your pastoral team follow up with you regarding your counseling process. This is completely optional.
