Hi, I’m Shannon.
Sometimes who we are and where we are feel like the problem. Even when we strive to be different, we’re stuck - stuck in the same place, repeating the same patterns, re-experiencing the same painful emotions, wishing we were someone or somewhere else. What exists, exists for a reason.
I want to invite you to come as you are, to suspend judgement, and allow the time and safety to be curious about who you are, where you are, and what you are seeking to find.

Working With Me
Cost: $100/session (50 minutes)
Who: Individuals adults, adolescents (12+), and couples.
Availability: Afternoon, evening, and weekend openings for new clients
Where: Accepting in-person and virtual clients in Missouri

What I Do
I carry hope for those who are struggling. I walk with individuals and couples through difficult experiences - past and present. I help clients organize their internal experience so that confusion decreases, clarity increases, and healing begins. I will provide tools to help clients through unbearable emotional distress while also working to identify the deeper root issues contributing to pain.
I draw from a variety of therapeutic methods to help client’s process past, present, and future experiences. I have additional training in IFS, EMDR, and DBT with a focus on the importance of emotions and psychodynamic influences.
At the core, I utilize a client-centered approach to therapy, meaning I want to meet you where you are and be with you where you’re wanting and needing to go.

Education + Training
• Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Missouri Southern StateUniversity.
• Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from MidAmerica Nazarene University.
• Trained in EMDR - used to address issues of trauma (including acute trauma) when appropriate.
